Now that I work in Electronics, the Connection Center is just two feet away from our check out stands. I can assure you that department is nuts no matter where you go!

I think the one thing that makes life a living hell for them are the retarded elderly people who don't even know how operate a cell phone, yet are getting them because their dumbass children think it's a good idea. And then, on top of everything else, the Connection Center associates are usually forced to activate the phone in question because the customer is just too stupid to do it on their own. I'm talking about the prepaid phones, of course, though getting a "planned" phone is no better.

Ironically, a lot of us in Electronics and Connections get pulled to zone in toys. Ironic for me because that's just where I came from! A lot of associates turn their noses up at the prospects of slumming it in Toys, but in the end, I'm getting paid a lot more money to do what I used to do anyway.

It's good that you have a degree, I'm seeking one myself. I would never use one to get a job, though- market being the way it is, it's no guarantee of anything. I'm gonna like having mine, though, because it denotes the willingness to learn and expand your horizons.

Good luck out there.

Problem is, the people who work usually need money. Walmart is an easy way to get this. Not the best way, mind you, but an easy way. It's easy to be a millionaire online- most everyone pretends to be- but in the end, money motivates people to do what they do when they do it.

Tell you what. Start paying people Fifty bucks an hour just to go on strike to prove how crappy their workplace is. I'll be the first one to go. Well, maybe not, it wouldn't be that much of a pay jump (see what I did there?).

Yeah, I've got better things to do then let some 12 year old jackass sharpen his razor wit on me. On the upshot, my store stopped doing tax exempt for Canadians. Policy dictatest that I have to be courteous while delivering the news, but they say nothing about cackling madly afterwards.
I hear ya, miawoh, about the customers. At the Walmart where I work, the customers love ripping open packages and letting their bratty kids run roughshod all over the place, then come yell at us when we have to crack down on them. What I don't understand is why the customers have to purposefully make our lives a living hell, and then yell at us when we call them on their crap. By the time the door greeter gets to you, he's already been told off by the first 5,000 people that walk in the door. It's a shame that people get dumped on for doing their jobs- even jobs they utterly despise.

Otherwise, I tend to agree that shopping at Walmart is a waste of time, save for the items that I can get my discount on.

lol. Suspicion of theft is enough (generally) to have the cops come by. All they really need is to follow you out, grab the number off your plates, and there ya go.

Now, I hate Walmart as much as the next person (that posts), but they've got some pretty nasty and sneaky security people. Most times, the person you least expect is the one watching you.
